Link-me

Link-me overcomes rural isolation problems and uses a web-platform that allows rural NEETS to access live webinars on careers topics, and on soft-skills, but more importantly to set-up 'buddies' and 'groups' to support each other in their efforts to gain access to employment and training, and on to their first steps in their career.

Learn & display literacy project

Good literacy development from an early age is an important asset in every child’s life. Reading serves as the major foundational skill for all school-based learning – it is a multifaceted process involving word recognition, comprehension, fluency, and motivation. Our idea is a collaborative venture created to provide a new perspective, build on knowledge and develop important life skills. “Learn & display literacy project” can materialise by uniting children, young people, parents, cultural leaders and museums in Tower Hamlets, London. Participants develop a cultural storybook outside of school in order to increase literacy rates, community engagement and parental involvement in children’s reading development.

Likely2Like

An online platform that levels the playing field for both young talent looking to launch their careers and employers looking to attract the most relevant talent. Young people leaving school and university are given access to the best information from the people that really know what they are talking about, as well as career opportunities at companies beyond the famous household names. The employers are able to showcase their employer brand to groups of diverse and relevant young talent they would not otherwise be able to reach.

Re:Skilled

A website that helps to create a shared understanding between young people and employers as to what skills are needed in the workplace, and helps young people develop and highlight their skills.

YourPosition

YourPosition enables young people to locate places that have current job positions available, these are sent as a notification alert on their mobile device. As soon as the user enters into a certain location, the app searches for vacancies over a certain mileage of radius from their current position. As well as sending vacancy alerts it also rates them in urgency or importance, for example it would be of a bigger brighter alert if the application date was near or after setting up the app with your dream job specification it will also search for aspects of your spec that will relate to sending urgent attention alerts that are related exactly to the users needs.

GamePlan

Using Facebook to help young people break down their dreams into everyday manageable steps

Sync_Gen

A "What's Going On?" Info Stream of Youth Activities/Job Opportunities w/ Custom RSS Subscriptions

"Wouldn't it be great if young people could find out about jobs or skill-building, mentoring & learning opportunities, entrepreneurship, and, say, rock-and-roll-camp for girls - through a single RSS feed? And what if the feed was customizable - so that said young people (or parents/guardians/mentors) could subscribe to an organization (that hosts such activities), a venue (near home, for example), or a specific firm where said young people might really, really want to work?"

GlobalAbility - global volunteering for universal skills
