MeshDays offers a unique opportunity for young people to ‘taste’ their potential careers. These employer-led insight days will give individuals the chance to learn, be inspired and network.

An online platform that levels the playing field for both young talent looking to launch their careers and employers looking to attract the most relevant talent. Young people leaving school and university are given access to the best information from the people that really know what they are talking about, as well as career opportunities at companies beyond the famous household names. The employers are able to showcase their employer brand to groups of diverse and relevant young talent they would not otherwise be able to reach.

When implemented, this will revolutionize the collective growth of students all across the globe. Learning should be interactive, different and entertaining. "IIBIT!" seeks to break cultural diversity and school curriculum rigidity in order to create a fresh approach to educational development.

The idea takes its roots from my in-progress PhD research, which title is "Questa casa non è un albergo" (literally "This house is not a hotel").

It is about having the internet or app space to ask for something if you wanted it as a user of services, and being able to say that you can provide it in response as a small business, or a social enterprise. It is about being able to list what you provided, and who for. It is about anyone in the local area being able to provide feedback on those services, shaping how the local market develops. It is about putting accountability and consumer power into the hands of those who most need those services, who are often vulnerable, and who often feel unable to express dissatisfaction or room for improvement for services. And it’s about making those services most accessible and user-friendly through a simple web interface for vulnerable people in their own homes.

I reject the notion that apathy is the reason the rebellions of the Middle East have not spread to the west. Where I am from, US, the workforce must endure longer and longer hours for less and less pay. By the time people get home from work, so they can support their families, they have barely enough energy to think let alone educate themselves on the facts and their rights as individuals, citizens of the world. My idea would bring resources together to deliver truth where all others fail.
