Collaor8 is an idea for website that allows quick and easy educational collaboration. A place to share ideas, problems, questions, answers and anything else to do with UK education (whether you're in or out of education).

The problem

The problem of a closed off, educational system. Trying to address the issue of more free and national collaboration on projects, essays, questions or problems.

The idea

Collabor8 is an idea for a website that would allow anyone to share and collaborate on projects, problems, essays or anything else to do with education. Whether you're in college, university, trying to get into education or working on personal projects; collabor8 would aim to make it easy to share and work together, bringing the education system in the country as a whole together.

The site would also allow for eductional and post-education networking. Allowing for easier professional relationships in the future.

My idea for the site (which is only an idea and needs refining and improving) is a simple interface where:

1. Users sign up, registering their interests, school/university, courses etc.

2. Categorize themsleves into groups of:
          a. Which school/uni they belong to
          b. Which courses they are taking (or the field there project is in)

3. Submit their content for collaboration (whether it's a document, image, formula, music video etc) and ask for help, comments, ideas etc

4. Alternatively, browse in your subject to collaborate on other projects.

Collaborators would then be rated by their collaboratees (not sure if that's a word) on the projects they've worked on or contributed to. Potential employers could then look through these ratings and comments to see past work.

The idea is still in its infancy but I believe there is something here. In an area that I feel strongly about and that I strongly feel needs changing. Any questions or comments please let me know.
