Lack of interest and motivation or/and lack of knowledge of how to achieve desired goals, are some of the most important reasons for unemployment and illiteracy. A personal tutor and motivator is exactly what young people need in such situations; to help them fix things up and get back to the track. Young people require personal tutors who are ready wherever they are, whenever they need some help.

The problem

Young people usually give up working or studying when they have nothing special to pursue and don’t see anything motivational that takes their breath away.

Some of the most important reasons for unemployment and illiteracy among young people are lack of interest and motivation and also lack of knowledge of how to achieve desired goals. They either don't have any goal for the future or just follow some regular and boring things, which are not their childhood dreams and do not stimulate them enough; thus makes them give up trying.

These reasons plus many others, like fear of defeat, lack of an organized and tidy program, have misled and pushed them to an unknown and unwanted domain.

An individualized program, which is provided by a professional personal tutor, and shows how to pass through such difficulties and make correct decisions, can be considered as the best solution in such dilemmas for everybody. If each of these desperate young people has a personal tutor and motivator, all of them can follow their bliss

The idea

By definition, a personal tutor is an experienced person that gives specific guidance and instruction to a pupil, improves pupil’s knowledge and abilities with a specialized programs and schedules, pushes the pupil in the right way to the success, pays an extra attention to him/her and keeps track of his/her activities, gives the pupil periodical feedbacks and etc …

We can replace a personal tutor by an intelligent agent, which has the ability to propose guidance to users with regard to its database of knowledge and experiences and user’s preferences

The main idea is to build an intelligent learning system on a cloud gaming platform as a personal tutor, with an incremental database of knowledge and experiences (which will be grown and evolved over the time as more people participate, like Wikipedia) and real people as the game's players. The database contains information about the games, the players and their experiences, players' status, feedbacks and etc.

Three main foundations of the game are as below:

  1. Universities, companies and enterprises, which provide study and business objectives; Form the goals of the game
  2. Tutors, that are comprised of some experienced teachers, motivators and theorists (or anyone who knows how to gain a specific goal); they provide step-by-step guides for achieving specific goals during the game - can be considered as game's rules
  3. Young people, as the real players of the game; they want to achieve certain goals by applying game’s rules, which is the step-by-step guides (provided by tutors) 

The game tries to guide young people find their favorite field of study and employment, with regard to the ability and preferences of each person.

 

Game Play:  

Each person sign up for the game (each person can only have one account). The only thing that is required is "a device with and internet connection" and nothing else. Users can connect to the game from any devices, with any specification or any platform and operating system, anytime and anywhere.

After a user logs into his/her account, s/he starts training the system and expanding her/his own world in the game. At the very first level, the system learns the premier information about users; like users' preferences, abilities, knowledge, ages, targets, previous jobs, levels of study, her/ his marks and a lot more in a gradual manner and with a lot of fun and entertainment for the user. This information will be examined occasionally by the system to update user’s status. This information will be used as the training set and also will be considered as users’ preliminary resumes. Each user’s activity update his/her resume. 

The system, with regard to users’ resumes, tries to find the best objectives for each user and proposes these objectives as an ordered and priority list to him/her. When a user selects one of them, the system finds the best how to and step-by-step manual for this objective, then creates a list of tasks and how to fulfill each of them, afterward starts tracking the user in this process. The user must fulfill any specific tasks by a certain amount of time. By completing a task and fulfill all of its requirements, system provides next task and step with its walkthrough. However, when a user can’t do a specific task, the system searches for the reasons and solutions, then proposes either another time schedule for that task or changing some part of the task (with new interaction with the user).

Each time a new opportunity or position is added to the system by a company or an educational institute/university, the system searches for the best matches among players with regard to users’ current and their near future statuses and provides new options for those users.

System also proposes appropriate people to the companies and education institute regularly, by sending suitable users’ resumes to them. At this point, companies and educational systems can take advantage of this system too.

Players can also explicitly define their own objectives, for example if player X wants to study in university Y (say fully funded); the system first calculates the amount of feasibility for him/her and then provides him/her the best instruction and step-by-step guide to achieve that specific goal. Or if a player wants to have a position in R&D department of company X, the system, for example, proposes that he/she must start his/her career in the company Y, which has a lower rank and lower requirements (and at the moment has an empty position and is suitable for this player), to gain more experience that is required for company X. Meanwhile, system suggests that he/she should work on his/her abilities in researching (which for example isn’t good enough as a result of previous record in the system) by taking online courses C1 and C2. Then after a year, if he/she does all that tasks well, the system will send his/her CV to the company X (and also to the similar companies which the user might like).

Each time a player reaches his/her desired final goal, system proposes some new goals to him/her with regard to his/her record and preferences and current situation of the game world. So the game will never be finished.

The system learns gradually from all of such information and users’ feedbacks. Thus, system’s decision making will be improved over the time.

The game can also provide a users’ forum for the player to exchange their information and ask for more help. In this way, Users will obtain points by actively participating in online forum and this point will be considered in their resumes. 

As an expansion, a social network for the players can be implemented within the game as well; in order to connect players to each other and prepare more fun.
